  • Two equipment lines available: AMG Line and AMG Line Premium
  • Features a new 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder diesel engine, producing 286 hp
  • Most significant transformation of the G-Class in its almost 40-year lifespan
  • New body, chassis, suspension, steering, engines, gearbox, driver assistance systems and more transform the G-Class while retaining its legendary off-road abilities
  • The new in-line six-cylinder diesel engine – codenamed OM656 – makes the new G-Class even more powerful, yet more efficient
  • It generates 286 hp (+41 hp than its predecessor) and 600 Nm. It can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 7.4 seconds and has a top speed of 123 mph
  • The G 350 d can deliver between 25.2 and 25.9 mpg and emits 288 g/km of CO2
  • The 9G‑TRONIC automatic transmission comes as standard and was specifically adapted to meet the needs of the new G-Class
  • AMG Line comes as standard with 20-inch alloy wheels; LED high performance headlights; ambient lighting with a choice of eight colours; towbar; heated front and rear seats;
    3-inch digital cockpit and 12.3-inch infotainment display; smartphone integration, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto; Keyless-Go; Thermotronic with three-zone climate control; and metallic paint
  • For an additional £5,995, AMG Line Premium adds ambient lighting with a choice of 64 colours; Burmester surround sound system; electric sunroof; Multibeam LED headlights; Parking package with 360° camera; and suspension with adaptive damping adjustment
  • The new G-Class is 53 mm longer and 121 mm wider. This benefits the driver and all passengers. Front legroom +38 mm; rear legroom +150 mm; front shoulder room +38 mm; rear shoulder room +27 mm; front elbow room +68mm and rear elbow room + 56 mm
  • The G-Class provides potential for maximum driving pleasure in challenging terrain. It has slope climbing ability of up to 100% on suitable surfaces; ground clearance between the axles now 6mm more at 241 mm (front axle ground clearance of 270 mm, 241mm at the rear); maximum fording depth now 70cm (+10cm); tilt angles of 35° (plus 7°); angle of departure: 30°; angle of approach: 31° (plus 1°) and break-over angle: 26° (plus 1°)
  • Three fully locking differentials (centre, rear, front) are activated by switches on the dashboard
  • The new transfer case is designed to send 40 per cent of the drive torque to the front axle and 60 per cent to the rear axle, but can send almost 100 per cent to one wheel
  • The low-range off-road reduction gear considerably increases torque at the wheels, making very difficult terrain negotiable
  • Dynamic Select is now available with up to five driving modes for the G-Class including; Comfort, Sport, Eco, Individual and the new off-road G-Mode. This adapts the adjustable damping of the chassis, the steering as well as the accelerator characteristics and avoids unnecessary gear shifts and thus ensures optimum control and maximum off-road capability. G-Mode also activates the vehicle’s low-range transfer gearbox
  • Iconic features of the G-Class, such as the grab handle in front of the front passenger, the chrome-highlighted switches for the differential locks, the exterior hinges for the doors, the rear-mounted spare wheel and the prominent wing-mounted indicators, have been optimised and retained alongside the characteristic closing sound for the doors
  • As before, every G-Class is hand-built in Graz, Austria
